Community support
Community and Code of Conduct Team
Supporting safe events and helping PyData St. Louis become more welcoming, inclusive, diverse, and accessible.
On-site event response
The team serves as the local Code of Conduct Event Response Team. Members support on-site enforcement, receive reports verbally or in writing, respond to immediate incidents, and request advice or support from the NumFOCUS Code of Conduct Working Group when needed.
Inclusive community guidance
The team advises organizers on practical improvements that help people from different backgrounds, identities, abilities, and experience levels feel welcome and able to participate.
At an event
Team members serving as incident responders will be identified in the event’s reporting instructions or announced at the meetup so participants know whom they can approach privately.
Event-specific concerns should ideally be reported privately to a team member or meetup organizer. They can enforce the Code of Conduct on site, contact venue staff or emergency services, provide an escort, or take other appropriate immediate steps to support safety.
If no organizer or team member is present—or you would prefer not to report locally—use the PyData St. Louis Code of Conduct reporting form. This link uses the required official NumFOCUS reporting system. Read the complete PyData St. Louis Code of Conduct information.
Share general feedback
Use the general feedback form for suggestions, event ideas, accessibility feedback, and other general comments. The team reviews submissions regularly and uses them to advise PyData St. Louis organizers on community improvements.
The general feedback form is not a Code of Conduct reporting channel. Conduct concerns must use the official NumFOCUS reporting form linked above.
